Introduction:

The English Department in Nandalal Borgohain City College, Dibrugarh has the same span of history as the mother institution. This subject is taught in our college from the very beginning ,1992

Aims & Objectives

• To teach a language that has been recognized as ‘Lingua Franca’.
• Help them to be acquainted with Western literature.
• To give them the knowledge of Grammar.
• To make them aware of Indian writers’ writings in English
• To offer them knowledge of Linguistics.
• An attempt to improve their Spoken English skills etc.
