Departmental Profile

         Nandalal Borgohain City College is a centre of higher education, situated in the southern part of Dibrugarh District. Affiliated to ‘’DIBRUGARH UNIVERSITY’’, the college was established in the year 1992. This department was also started along with other departments (August, 1992). The dept first introduced Higher Secondary classes, later parallely introduced Degree / TDC classes as a pass course/non major subject, it covers a course related syllabus of regional and global history. The department has been aiming to provide higher education to the students, also gives them the need based tutorial classes, book facilities, supplies question papers and providing mentoring sessions. The rate of the passing of the students is good.

Aim And Objectives of History Department.
1. To provide higher education and encourage them to develop their interest for study history.
2. To make the students aware of our country’s history and culture. And also the culture-history of different parts of the world.
3. To prepare the students for competitive examinations.
